Went on Mother's Day evening. The place was busy, but not packed. Took forever to get our salad and breadsticks, once we did we had to ask for more dressing as the salad was dry. Overall the meal wasn't bad and the service was fine once we got our meal ordered.

Seems kind of pricey lately. $17 for Chicken Marsala and $12 for a tiny pizza for the kid! I haven't been in probably 2 years. At this price point we could just go to a more up scale Italian joint. I always enjoy the salad. The bread sticks were a little off this time. The Chicken Marsala was just OK, as was the pizza. I think I'll just stick to the Soup, Salad, & Bread Stick lunch at this place.

I am a vegetarian (and not a very healthy one at that) so I love places that serve pasta, and Olive Garden has so many options to choose from. I came here last night with family to celebrate a new job. I won't bother commenting on the food (besides this one point -- the salad was a little dry) because the reason this restaurant gets a five star review was because we had the most wonderful server last night. Her name was Carolyn and she was attentive, polite, and professional. I have never been so wowed by great service that I felt compelled to leave a comment on a receipt, but I was so impressed by her that I had to say something. If I hadn't been with company I would have spoken with the manager to compliment her. Obviously Olive Garden isn't some fancy black tie kind of place, but having fantastic service sure makes it feel like it is.

I would say that after coming to this location a bunch of times, I'm convinced that they're pretty consistent. Sometimes there's a problem, but usually it's nothing huge. If you like Olive Garden chain, then you'll like this one. I personally go for the cheese ravioli with meat sauce ($11.50, I believe, and it comes with soup or salad, and breadsticks).

Usually great service and food, today's service was a complete clusterfuck. I think the entire staff served us at one point or another because our server was completely over her head. We ordered the two for $25 and she brought the check without ever asking if we wanted dessert.. When i asked her about this, she fumbled, so i asked her to just take the dessert off of the bill. She left but came back and said that the manager told her he couldn't do that. At this point, I told her to send him over. As a former restaurant professional, I know damn well that you can take off an item, a set dollar amount or a percentage on any bill using ANY P.O.S. system, so his story was BS. Now, once he got to the table, he was very apologetic and refused to let us pay for the meal at all. I told him we'd been in many times and that, in fact I'd left them glowing, 5 star reviews in the past. They'll get another chance from us based on past service and the Manager's eventual response to our complaints. I HOPE this was an isolated incident and not something indicative of the direction their service is headed in.

Service was horrible. It started with asking what the seasonal Sam Adams was. Was told one thing then summer ale shows up. Then our lovely wait for the beverages. The bet part was when our food was delivered to the table next to us because our waitress put the wrong table down and of course no one in the service industry delivers their own food anymore. I will say it only took 10 minutes for her to return with boxes. In case you are wondering our servers name is Jackie, she seemed more concerned with organizing her pens then waiting on tables. Good thing there is other restaurants in the area to choose from.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
